Who is behind Megans Mission Coaching?
Megan Shtab - Founder of Megans Mission Coaching
Welcome. I’m Megan, but you can call me Coach Meg. After losing 165 lbs myself, I wanted to guide women who are where I once was. What I saw missing in the coaching industry was a program that blended real empathy with real accountability.
Megan’s Mission Coaching is built around a simple belief: one-size-fits-all plans don’t work. Real women have real lives, and most of the women who come to us have already tried every diet and program out there. They’re not looking for another quick fix. They want something that actually fits their life.
I coach with empathy because I’ve been there. I understand the frustration and the feeling that losing weight has become a full-time job. At the same time, the women who thrive here are done blaming their hormones, their past, or their schedule. They focus on what they can control and show up consistently.
I’ve helped over 100 women lose weight and build habits they can maintain long term. With high-quality coaching and clear expectations, lasting results are possible. This program is for women who are ready to follow through.
Here’s what our clients have to say...
I would've given up without Meg's guidance and support. I was already slipping when I reached out and she pulled me up. I’m most proud of my dedication and continuation of habits. I stopped making excuses and just get it done. I wasn’t that person before and I am now. Everyday life is my commitment to my WHYs. Meg asked us every week to reiterate our whys and I make sure I surround myself with those reminders every day. I am the Auntie I’ve always wanted to be, my nieces have been my WHYs from day 1 and the activities I get to be a part of now makes me so grateful. Being able to go on any ride at Disney and know I’ll fit, be comfortable and see my niece smile is an unpayable debt.

There are a million coaches out there, but there was a disconnect in that it didn't seem like they knew what it was like to have a lifelong struggle with food and exercise. How were they going to help me if they didn't know what I've been going through all of my life? Getting help from someone who's been there and knows every week won't be perfect - that perfect does not exist - provides extra motivation. I feel supported by Coach Meg every single day with feedback regardless of having a good or not so good week, with tips on how to pivot. And that support includes encouraging me to do different and new things and she's never been wrong about them. Her support and my families support - just simple encouragement and acknowledging the progress I've made - has made it possible to stay on this journey - almost 2 years and counting. I have never been committed to my health this long.

This journey has had a big impact on my confidence and daily life. At work, I feel more energized and focused, which helps me handle challenges with a clearer mindset. In my family life, I’m more present and positive because I’m taking care of myself and feeling stronger. Overall, my confidence has grown—I feel proud of the progress. I’ve made and that carries over into how I show up in meetings, social situations, and everyday decisions.

Meg works with you and personalizes your fitness and nutrition plans. There is no one-size fits all with her! She is a coach and a cheerleader all at once, is supportive, responsive, and extremely professional. I know I am making sustainable changes to my lifestyle because she has had me dig deep to understand why I was the way I was when I started. She won’t let you give up either!

Coach Meg is incredibly open, she listens, and she’s flexible. She has taken every one of my questions/concerns and addressed them in the best way possible and changed up my plan based on those questions and concerns. My biggest breakthrough moment was when I realized I was leg pressing a weight that was MORE than what I weigh!!! Super mind blowing! I’m getting stronger, I’m realizing that I am tougher than I thought.

I struggled with my weight for years before working with Meg. I had been thin for most of my life, then diagnosed with hypothyroidism, and years after that it was re-diagnosed as Hashimotos hypothyroidism. I gained close to 100lbs in about 10 years. I honestly thought that I was just destined to be obese because both of my parents were. Having Meg as a sounding board has been awesome. She is someone who I can go to with the most absurd and unhinged ideas or questions, and she never bats an eye at the craziness that I bring to the table. She gives solid, evidence-based answers. She has completely taken the guesswork out of weight loss for me by providing me with a personalized workout plan, calculating my daily macros, and providing me with delicious high-protein recipes. She is the hype girl that I didn’t know I needed.

Megan has really helped me blossom. She has given me the tools to expand and challenge myself to reach out of my comfort zone and push myself on limits I didn't know I could. Change is ALWAYS scary but the feeling of results is so worth it. Megan made me feel very comfortable on days and weeks when I felt stuck and alone, and she reminded me of all the progress I made and not just to make me feel better, but the truth. We all want the truth even if it's not something we want to hear. I would definitely recommend Megan to help anyone get on track and step out of their comfort zone.

I have done Weight Watchers off and on for over 10 years. I have tried Keto too. I was tired of the up and down, losing weight then gaining it back again and usually plus more. Before starting, I was binge eating, hiding the wrappers so no one would know how much I was actually eating. I can now sit on the floor with my grandkids and play with them and know I can get up. It is a real confidence booster when people at work notice the weight loss and comment. If you’re thinking about using a Coach, just do it. It has been the best decision I have ever made. This is the first time I have ever tried using a Coach and I do not regret that decision. Megan has been my biggest cheerleader no matter what. Through the ups and downs.

I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2019 after having a miscarriage, but most likely had it way before then. I was struggling with eating due to a busy schedule with 3 kids. We would eat out quite a bit due to convenience in this busy stage of life and I also loved sweets. So anytime I was stressed, I would turn to eating sweets. I also had no confidence whatsoever with exercising in a gym. I had a fear that people would judge me if I were in there. I realized that I was missing out on quite a few activities/experiences because of my health and my lack of confidence. Taking my 3 year old and 6 month old to the park would make me winded, taking walks with them wasn't very enjoyable, etc. I realized that I need to live my life for myself but also for my children. My kids see me every day and are looking up to me so I needed to get my life together quickly. I realized things were working weight wise within the first month. The scale kept moving down every week, which was definitely motivating the first few months of this life style change. I was naturally making better food choices regardless of the situation I was in. I could go out with friends and enjoy my time without overeating. I could take my kids on a walk without feeling winded. A HUGE win in my book was signing up for a gym membership and actually going regardless of how nervous I was.
I had done online coaching before but I feel like it didn't work because I wasn't able to actually connect. With Coach Meg sharing her own experience, she truly understands what her clients are going through/experiencing. I enjoyed how she was always authentic and genuine with everything. Her excitement she showed for my wins was always encouraging!

I hit my point when I couldn't ride Tron with my kids. That was my breaking point. Not being able to do something with my kids that they wanted to experience. So I reached out officially to Megan for help. If I hadn’t started, I’d be riding the caboose of Tron with a sad kid missing out on a bike or not riding it at all. I'd be pushing it on most Disney rides and losing those core memory moments with my kids. Now, my kids love riding rides with me. Taking stairs in parking garages are no big deal for all of us. We walk. They see me getting stronger and making better food choices. My relationship with food has done a 180 in terms of understanding consumption, nutrition labels, and serving sizes. Not every meal needs to be fancy and complicated. Keep it simple and delicious. Movement wise I've gotten a lot better about being consistent and growing stronger. It really does just take the right cheer crowd and self awareness to create a habit and a new life style.

I realized that I needed to make a drastic change for my health. I had gotten to a point where it was exhausting to do anything. I rarely left my house, was embarrassed about my appearance, and was getting less than 2,000 steps per day. I am proud of the fact that I have increased my steps to 8,000 a day and am consistent. Movement is a priority for me now. I now know the more I move the better I feel. I have lost a total of 85 pounds, 57 of that while I was with Megan. Losing the weight has made it much easier to do day-to-day tasks and not be in pain. It has also improved my confidence. Before starting I kept myself inside and rarely visited with family or friends. Now I am out of the house on a regular basis and spend more time with friends and family. If I hadn't started coaching, I would not have the habits that I have developed today and likely would not have remained consistent with anything I tried on my own.

To get the most out of coaching, I ask every client to commit to a few key habits that keep your progress on track and allow me to fully support you:
Track your food consistently and accurately using MyFitnessPal or Cronometer
Communicate openly and honestly
Submit your weekly check-ins on time so I can review and coach you properly
Show up with genuine effort, especially on hard days
This isn’t about being perfect. It’s about being engaged. If you’re ready to show up for yourself and trust the process, I’ve got you every step of the way.
-
I have experience coaching women with autoimmune conditions, chronic pain, arthritis, and other health challenges. Your plan will be fully customized to your needs and abilities, with safety and sustainability always coming first.
NOTE: Working with me is not a substitute for medical advice or physical therapy. Always check with your doctor before starting any fitness program.
-
Nope! Your workouts can be designed for the gym or at home using whatever equipment you have. I’ll tailor your plan to fit your environment and lifestyle.
-
Perfect. I specialize in helping women build a strong foundation, even if they’ve never lifted a weight or tracked a single meal. You’ll get step-by-step guidance the whole way through.
-
Most clients commit to 3–4 workouts per week, around 30–60 minutes each. We’ll decide what’s realistic for you together. Nutrition and mindset support are woven into your life, not stacked on top of it.
-
Good. You’re not supposed to be. This program is built for real women living real lives, not robots. I will help you stay consistent, even when life gets messy.
-
Yes - I’m a NASM Certified Personal Trainer.
-
Nope, and that’s a good thing. I’m not a registered dietitian, so I don’t prescribe formal meal plans. Instead, I focus on habit-based coaching that helps you build lasting skills around food.
-
Most personal trainers only see you for a few sessions a week and focus on workouts alone. I take a full-picture approach: training, nutrition, mindset, and accountability- woven into your entire week, not just 45 minutes in the gym.
-
Every journey is different, but you can expect to feel stronger, more confident, and more in control of your habits. We focus on sustainable progress and not quick fixes, so the changes you make actually stick.
-
Yes - tracking is part of the process, but probably not in the way you’re used to. Most of my clients find that tracking actually makes them feel more empowered. It removes the guesswork and helps you make informed decisions- not just feeling like you need to “eat less.” You’ll stop fearing food and start understanding it.
“Coach Meg is so inspiring! I chose her as a coach because she has gone through what I have gone through on this weight loss journey. She helps in places other people don't understand, but she pushes when it's needed! Highly recommend her as a trainer!”
- Lauren B.
“Coach Meg is helping me change my life and I couldn’t be more grateful. She has helped my weightloss journey feel POSSIBLE! Shes very good at answering, she can tell when I’m not feeling my best, and she feels like a friend at this point. I wouldn’t want anyone else guiding me on this journey. HIGHLYYYY recommend her services.”
- Skyler R.
“I have never had a coach before but I have been yoyo dieting for years, I figured I would try something new. I went with Coach Meg because she was where I am. I do not regret starting with her in February. She has tailored my workouts to my needs, given me my macros to follow and she is my biggest cheerleader. I am open and honest with her and she is there to listen and give great advice. I would recommend her 100%.”
- Shelley R.
“Coach Meg has been such an encouraging and supportive coach for me since November. She provides workout plans, nutrition guidance and all around support tailored directly to each person to help reach goals set for ourselves. Her own weight loss is a testament that it can be done, and for me that was important to find in a coach. She has done the hard work herself, and knows how hard it can truly be.
She is constantly reminding me that she can show me which door to walk through, but she can’t make me walk through it or do it for me- but is handholding me every step of the way to go forward!
Her level of support and involvement with each of us is apparent net when she remembers special events upcoming, or checks in randomly on how we are feeling or doing with certain things going on in our personal lives and not just what pertains to her coaching. if you are looking for someone to encourage you, and provide you so many tools necessary to succeed, then you are looking for Coach Meg!”
- Brianna M.
“Working with Megan has been one of the best ways to invest in myself. She’s encouraging, and willing to tailor everything to your level. But she’s not going to let you stay at that beginner level! She pushes you while empowering you to do your best! She’s also worked with me through some health struggles, and adapted plans for my continued success! I’m very thankful.”
- Grace J.
“Working with Coach Meg has already been a transformative experience! Her personalized approach to weight loss, combined with her ability to help shift your mindset, makes the journey feel achievable and even enjoyable. Hearing her share her own story adds a relatable and inspiring touch, making my goals feel within reach. And as a fellow Disney Adult, she brings a touch of magic that keeps me motivated and excited for the future. Highly recommend!”
