Who is behind Megans Mission Coaching?
Megan Shtab - Founder of Megans Mission Coaching
Welcome. I’m Megan, but you can call me Coach Meg. After losing 165 lbs myself, I wanted to guide women who are where I once was. What I saw missing in the coaching industry was a program that blended real empathy with real accountability.
Megan’s Mission Coaching is built around a simple belief: one-size-fits-all plans don’t work. Real women have real lives, and most of the women who come to us have already tried every diet and program out there. They’re not looking for another quick fix. They want something that actually fits their life.
I coach with empathy because I’ve been there. I understand the frustration and the feeling that losing weight has become a full-time job. At the same time, the women who thrive here are done blaming their hormones, their past, or their schedule. They focus on what they can control and show up consistently.
I’ve helped over 100 women lose weight and build habits they can maintain long term. With high-quality coaching and clear expectations, lasting results are possible. This program is for women who are ready to follow through.
Here’s what our clients have to say...
I would've given up without Meg's guidance and support. I was already slipping when I reached out and she pulled me up. I’m most proud of my dedication and continuation of habits. I stopped making excuses and just get it done. I wasn’t that person before and I am now. Everyday life is my commitment to my WHYs. Meg asked us every week to reiterate our whys and I make sure I surround myself with those reminders every day. I am the Auntie I’ve always wanted to be, my nieces have been my WHYs from day 1 and the activities I get to be a part of now makes me so grateful. Being able to go on any ride at Disney and know I’ll fit, be comfortable and see my niece smile is an unpayable debt.
I feel supported by Coach Meg every single day with feedback regardless of having a good or not so good week, with tips on how to pivot. And that support includes encouraging me to do different and new things and she's never been wrong about them. Her support and my families support - just simple encouragement and acknowledging the progress I've made - has made it possible to stay on this journey - almost 2 years and counting. I have never been committed to my health this long.
This journey has had a big impact on my confidence and daily life. At work, I feel more energized and focused, which helps me handle challenges with a clearer mindset. In my family life, I’m more present and positive because I’m taking care of myself and feeling stronger. Overall, my confidence has grown—I feel proud of the progress. I’ve made and that carries over into how I show up in meetings, social situations, and everyday decisions.
I realized things were working weight wise within the first month. The scale kept moving down every week, which was definitely motivating the first few months of this life style change. I was naturally making better food choices regardless of the situation I was in. I could go out with friends and enjoy my time without overeating. I could take my kids on a walk without feeling winded. A HUGE win in my book was signing up for a gym membership and actually going regardless of how nervous I was.
I hit my point when I couldn't ride Tron with my kids. That was my breaking point. Not being able to do something with my kids that they wanted to experience. So I reached out officially to Megan for help. If I hadn’t started, I’d be riding the caboose of Tron with a sad kid missing out on a bike or not riding it at all. I'd be pushing it on most Disney rides and losing those core memory moments with my kids. Now, my kids love riding rides with me. Taking stairs in parking garages are no big deal for all of us. We walk. They see me getting stronger and making better food choices.
Frequently Asked Questions

To get the most out of coaching, I ask every client to commit to a few key habits that keep your progress on track and allow me to fully support you:
Track your food consistently and accurately using MyFitnessPal or Cronometer
Communicate openly and honestly
Submit your weekly check-ins on time so I can review and coach you properly
Show up with genuine effort, especially on hard days
This isn’t about being perfect. It’s about being engaged. If you’re ready to show up for yourself and trust the process, I’ve got you every step of the way.

I have experience coaching women with autoimmune conditions, chronic pain, arthritis, and other health challenges. Your plan will be fully customized to your needs and abilities, with safety and sustainability always coming first.
NOTE: Working with me is not a substitute for medical advice or physical therapy. Always check with your doctor before starting any fitness program.
-
Nope! Your workouts can be designed for the gym or at home using whatever equipment you have. I’ll tailor your plan to fit your environment and lifestyle.
-
Perfect. I specialize in helping women build a strong foundation, even if they’ve never lifted a weight or tracked a single meal. You’ll get step-by-step guidance the whole way through.
-
Most clients commit to 3–4 workouts per week, around 30–60 minutes each. We’ll decide what’s realistic for you together. Nutrition and mindset support are woven into your life, not stacked on top of it.
-
Good. You’re not supposed to be. This program is built for real women living real lives, not robots. I will help you stay consistent, even when life gets messy.
-
Yes - I’m a NASM Certified Personal Trainer.
-
Nope, and that’s a good thing. I’m not a registered dietitian, so I don’t prescribe formal meal plans. Instead, I focus on habit-based coaching that helps you build lasting skills around food.
-
Most personal trainers only see you for a few sessions a week and focus on workouts alone. I take a full-picture approach: training, nutrition, mindset, and accountability- woven into your entire week, not just 45 minutes in the gym.
-
Every journey is different, but you can expect to feel stronger, more confident, and more in control of your habits. We focus on sustainable progress and not quick fixes, so the changes you make actually stick.
-
Yes - tracking is part of the process, but probably not in the way you’re used to. Most of my clients find that tracking actually makes them feel more empowered. It removes the guesswork and helps you make informed decisions- not just feeling like you need to “eat less.” You’ll stop fearing food and start understanding it.
