Hey!
I’m Megan.
I started my 165lb weight loss journey in November 2018 and like many women, I started it feeling lost, exhausted, and deeply uncomfortable in my own body.
My lightbulb moment came during a trip to Disney World.
Disney is known for being pretty size-inclusive when it comes to rides, but I still struggled to get in and out of rides like Pirates of the Caribbean. On Big Thunder Mountain, I was the reason whoever sat next to me was flying around in their seat because the lap bar didn’t come down far enough for them. I had to take constant breaks from walking, and at one point, I even took my shoes off in the middle of Epcot to massage my swollen feet.
I was embarrassed. I’d had plenty of moments like that before, but this time, it finally hit me: life does NOT have to be this way. The only person who could change that was me. Call me crazy for starting a weight loss journey in November, but this is exactly why there’s no such thing as the ‘right time’. I even told myself, “Hey, if I can make it through Thanksgiving and Christmas on a weight loss journey, I think I can really do this.”
I didn’t have a coach or a fancy plan, just a deep desire to feel better in my body and the determination not to give up this time.
I lost the first 100 pounds through consistent, sustainable diet and exercise changes.
Later, I had bariatric surgery and lost another 65 pounds, but I kept living the same habits I’d worked hard to build all along.
Sharing my journey online started as a way to hold myself accountable.
I figured if I put it out there, maybe I’d actually stick with it this time. But it quickly grew into something much bigger.
Women started reaching out, telling me they saw themselves in my story, that I made them feel seen, and that I gave them hope.
They sent me their transformation photos and told me I was the reason they got started. They asked if I offered coaching. They told me I made them believe they weren’t broken.
In the summer of 2023, I was unexpectedly let go from my corporate job as a software sales manager. I immediately started applying and interviewing for new roles but kept getting beat down by dead-end interviews in a saturated market. Then I finally had a promising interview- I was flown to Minneapolis, met the CEO, and even received a verbal offer. Two days later, I got a rejection call.
I took that day to decompress at my favorite place- Disney World- where it all began for me and where I decided it would begin again. Oh yeah, did I mention I moved to Florida and became an annual passholder? The ultimate full-circle moment!
That’s when it clicked: I didn’t want to keep climbing a ladder that was draining the life out of me. I had been given a second chance, and I wasn’t going to waste it. So I took the leap and turned the passion I built through my own transformation into a business.
Today, through Megan’s Mission Coaching, I help women- especially those who grew up in the toxic diet culture of the ‘80s and ‘90s and feel like they’ve tried everything - rebuild their strength, confidence, and self-trust. autoimmune disease, fibromyalgia, chronic pain, arthritis, and more - but I still show up. Not because it’s easy, but because I’ve learned that taking care of your body gives you the strength to face anything life throws your way.
And that’s what I want for every woman I work with:
Not just a smaller body, but a stronger one.
A body they feel proud to live in.
A mindset that understands the difference between perfection and progress.
And a belief that no matter how far gone they feel,
they’re never too far gone to come back.
Many women feel stuck in a cycle of dieting and inconsistent habits.
They’ve tried quick fixes, restrictive plans, or one-size-fits-all programs that start with a burst of motivation but quickly burn out. When they realize- yet again- that the approach isn’t sustainable, they give up. They’re trapped in an all-or-nothing mindset: either “on track” or “off the rails.” They label food as “good” or “bad,” and feel like failures when they can’t live up to unrealistic expectations. If weight loss were as simple as eating less and moving more, we wouldn’t have an obesity epidemic.
The real root of the issue is a lack of sustainability, education, and a healthy relationship with food and self-trust. Most women are stuck in a loop of perfectionism, self-sabotage, and negative self-talk. That’s where I come in.
As a coach, I help them break free from yo-yo dieting and build strong, sustainable lifestyles through evidence-based strength training, balanced nutrition habits, and mindset coaching.
We create a personalized plan that fits their life- physically, mentally, and emotionally. Together, we shift the focus from just losing weight to gaining strength, energy, confidence, and true freedom in their body. To get different results, you have to do something different. That usually means slowing down, not speeding up. It can feel scary to focus on small, sustainable changes because we’ve been conditioned to believe that transformation requires a total 180 overnight. But that all-or-nothing mindset is the road we’ve been down for 20+ years- and how well has it been working out for us? Real change happens when we stop chasing extremes and start building habits that actually last. When we build real habits, weight loss often becomes a byproduct- not the entire mission. And when we stop obsessing over the scale and start obsessing over loving ourselves, we unlock our true potential.
I’m not like most coaches. Here’s Why:
I’m not here to hand you a templated plan and wish you luck.
I don’t outsource your messages to an assistant pretending to be me.
I take the time to get to know you, understand your life, and build something that works for you. This is a partnership, and I’m in it with you.
And I get it, because I’ve lived it.
I know what it’s like to avoid booths at restaurants. To be turned away from roller coasters. To hear a doctor tell you to “just lose weight” when all you wanted was an answer for your sore throat. I’ve been there, feeling judged and ashamed- and I’ve fought my way back with consistency and resilience.
If you’re tired of chasing perfection, done with the all-or-nothing mindset, and ready to make real, lasting progress… this is your place.
Keep it real with me, and I’ll always keep it real with you.
